The Road Force® Elite wheel balancer delivers exceptional balancing service and performs a Road Force® and balance faster than a traditional wheel balance. The Road Force® Elite solves wheel vibration problems that traditional wheel balancers can't fix. This machine detects non-balance, radial-force related problems associated with tire uniformity, tire and rim runout, wheel to balancer mounting errors and improper bead seat of tire to rim.
The purpose of any wheel balance service is to distribute mass equally between a tire and its wheel. While traditional tire balancing measures the imbalances, road force balancing detects the up and down motion of the tire. Road force balancing machines detect bulges and hard spots missed by regular tire balancing machines.
If there is an imbalance in the tire and wheel assembly, the tire will start to wobble as it rotates. This wobbling causes vibrations that will increase with speed. Ignoring the vibrations that come with tire imbalance can cause abnormal tire wear and put strain on suspension system components.
A perfectly balanced tire can still vibrate due to Force Variation. Wheel Force Variation is most frequently due to wheel runout or uneven tread or sidewall stiffness in the tire. Runout is when a tire or rim is out of round when rolling; frequent causes are a bent rim or uneven tire wear. A road force balance detects additional causes of vibration that a traditional machine doesn't.
